Habitat:

This tree, which can attain very respectable dimensions (more than 2 meters in diameter), is a Caelpines. It is therefore endowed with compound leaves and pods as fruits. Its red bark contains a potent alkaloid, erythrophlein, with effects similar to those of cocaine. In addition, sawdust is very irritating. Used with extreme caution, bark lends itself to certain therapeutic uses (premature ejaculation, sinusitis, vaginitis, etc.).
